Yes. I also find it helpful to throw in hostile glares and some nasty sarcastic (or nonsensical) and generally snobbish comments to further throw them off the scent. If you're feeling really daring you can add to your carefully spun web of confusion by being unabashedly charming and friendly to all the men in the room you have no romantic intrest in. Any quality man ought to be able to decipher you true intentions.

In my experience, attractive people are like bears...they're more afraid of you than you are of them.
