more high school stories:

Student: "what's wrong with this sentence?"
Me: "umm... well, the first problem is it's not actually a sentence. you need a predicate."
Student: "what's a predicate?
Me: "the verb that describes what the noun is doing."
Student: "i don't have that?"
Me: "no."

Teacher: "Billy, come up here and pretend to be the teacher."
Billy: "Alright!"
Teacher: "Look at the class. What do you think they need?"
Billy: "To get all they wiggles out!"
Teacher: "Ok, class, get all they wiggles out."
